ARLAD: C-UAS ARMOURED VEHICLES ENTER INTO SERVICE IN THE FRENCH ARMY

CS GROUP is delighted to announce that ARLAD (C-UAS reactive adaption) vehicles, resulting of a long-standing collaboration with the French Land Forces’ Technical Section (STAT), have been delivered to the 17th Artillery Group of the French Army. The C-UAS component supplied by CS GROUP is integrated into the existing fleet of Armored Frontline Vehicle (VAB), and these C-UAS vehicles are now in operation.

The aim of this project, initiated by the STAT in 2020, was to meet the Army's urgent operational requirements by equipping existing VAB vehicles with a C-UAS capability, which is integrated into the vehicle and interfaced with the existing turret thanks to a mobile C-UAS C2 integrated into the vehicle. The UAS neutralization, controlled by the ARLAD C2, is therefore carried out using artillery means ("hard kill”).

Deliveries and technical increments have been carried out in rapid and agile cycles, with a total of 18 ARLAD systems delivered by CS GROUP to date.

This ARLAD capability enables an effective response to new aerial threats and ensures the protection of our armed forces during external operations. CS GROUP would like to thank all the STAT members with whom we have effectively collaborated, as well as the French DGA (Armament General Directorate) for their support in scaling up this major project.
